PLENA is proud to offer a limited-edition series of elegant scarves - a collaboration between designer Heidi Chisolm and visual artist Léonard Pongo, inspired by Pongo’s project, Primordial Earth. Proceeds from the scarves will support the expansion and continuation of Primordial Earth, helping Pongo achieve his vision. Thus, buyers are also producers, bringing art to life.

Primordial Earth (2017-present) uses mixed-media installations to explore the rich cultural heritage of Congolese traditions, deeply rooted in the land and the narratives of its people. The work conjures an uncanny realm that straddles the line between the real and the realm of the imagination, depicting a land that exists both as a tangible entity and as a construct of its people's collective dreams.

Léonard Pongo (b. 1988) is a visual artist and filmmaker living and working between the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Belgium.
